Creating a safe and healthy workplace for GS EPS members
GS EPS aims to operate eco-friendly power plants that prioritize the employees’ safety according to the vision of "Value No.1 Clean Energy Company for Better World". Therefore, we have established a safety and health management system our employees comply with. In January 2022, GS EPS raised the level of management activities on safety and health by enacting the Safety and Health Management Regulations and establishing the Safety and Health Management Policy to promote safety awareness of employees.
GS EPS has established a global-level safety and health management system by building a system based on international standards according to the EHSQ(Environment, Health, Safety, Quality) safety management system. GS EPS has obtained the international standard ISO 45001 certification in safety and health. Based on the certification, GS EPS establishes, improves, and manages internal regulations and work procedures related to safety and health.
To obtain ISO 45001 certification, the safety and health management policies that emphasize risks from the working environment in the company and responsibility for the safety and health of workers must be established, and relevant systems and activities must be performed.
We have established and operate a dedicated organization to strengthen our management system as the importance of the safety and health field increases. GS EPS strives to handle all tasks organically and effectively by continuously identifying, evaluating, and monitoring potential risks.
We operate the PDW system for power generation facilities and facilities with potential hazards and risks and all on-site workers who operate them. GS EPS fundamentally prevents man-made disasters by isolating all work equipment risk factors with a forced lock and strives to foster safety professionals who can systematically prevent work accidents.
GS EPS conducts systematic and diverse safety and health activities at its workplace across all steps, from accident prevention to response after accidents. We strive to secure the safety and health of our employees and partner company’s employees and to establish a safety culture.
GS EPS operates the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) system that analyzes risks by work stage, identifies harmful, dangerous factors, and improves them.
GS EPS categorizes emergencies such as fire, hazardous chemicals, power failures, earthquakes, and damage from storms and floods by type and establishes the emergency response system according to scenarios by accident type, followed by training.
GS EPS analyzes the types and causes of safety accidents and uses them in the field to predict and prevent safety accidents in advance.
GS EPS conducts annual safety inspections to establish systematic and advanced safety management throughout the company.
GS EPS conducts regular health checkups to promote employee health. In particular, special health examinations are provided to employees in charge of departments handling harmful factors such as noise, dust, and chemicals to monitor their health.
GS EPS creates a safe work ecosystem and seeks win-win growth with cooperative companies by operating the safety and health council, modeling environmental safety, and managing high-risk chemicals.
